Taff Trail Herb Walks in Cardiff with Laura Carpenter MNIMH.

He will share with you the common uses of the plants, a little of their history and modern research concerning their use, and how to use herbs safely and harvest them responsibly. Herbs and herbal remedies for the workshop.Herbal medicine can benefit you in many ways and there is a lot that you can do using easily accessible herbs made into simple remedies. This workshop is all about making it easy for you to get started with using herbal remedies, learning the best herbs to begin with, how to make natural remedies from these herbs and how to use them safely and effectively.

It is a very practical workshop and you’ll get to see and taste the herbs we discuss, and we’ll make infusions, a poultice and a herbal salve on the day.

Be Your Own Herbalist – Beginners Course with Mark Jack BSc(Hons) MNIMH.

Join Mark for 5 summer evenings of practical herbalism and learn how to use herbs safely and effectively for supporting your well-being and treating common ailments. The course will cover accessing the herbs you need (growing, buying and foraging), making herbal remedies (e.g. creams, tinctures, infusions etc.), the medicinal actions of over 20 herbs and how to use them in your life. You’ll also receive a herbal medicine handbook containing all the herbs, recipes and treatments covered in the course as well as samples of the herbal remedies made on the course.

Cost: £75 (early bird fee) if booked by 4th May 2015, otherwise £95.

A Day in the Herb Garden with Mark Jack BSc(Hons) MNIMH.

Saturday 18th July 2015 10am – 4:30pm @ Chepstow Therapy Rooms / Gestalt Centre Wales in Chepstow, Monmouthshire.

A practical workshop learning about some of the most useful medicinal herbs to grow, how to grow them, harvest them, turn them into remedies and use them safely and effectively in your life. You do not need to be green fingered to grow medicinal plants (they are quite forgiving!) and you can soon have such a valuable resource close to hand. On the workshop you’ll receive a handbook containing all the plants, recipes and treatments covered on the day to help you take what you learn home with you and you’ll also take away a herbal remedy made on the day.

Cost: £38 (early bird fee) if booked by 1st June 2015, otherwise £48.
